Students are at the heart of our service delivery. GVSD’s priority is to create an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment that equitably supports and appropriately challenges all students in their physical, social-emotional and academic learning. We strive to create a place where students with diverse abilities are welcomed into all aspects of schooling. Achieving this requires everyone, district wide to come together and work collaboratively in the best interests of students.
Services and supports (reading interventions, counsellors, speech language pathologist, occupational therapists etc.) are all delivered within your child’s catchment school. They are coordinated through the school based team, and/or the school administrators and supported by a district team as needed.
