Embedding social and emotional learning (SEL) into instruction is a powerful way to help students connect and engage in learning. This resource was created to provide educators with 25 quick and easy ways to embed SEL into their daily routines and practice.

Second Step
Second Step programs are research-based, teacher-informed, and classroom-tested to promote the social-emotional development, safety, and well-being of children from Early Learning through Grade 8. The District has purchased the K-8 digital resource for schools to access.

 Mental Health Literacy
Mental Health Literacy is the knowledge and understanding that helps us become responsible, effective and successful in living full and healthy lives. With good mental health literacy we learn how to take better care of ourselves, our loved ones and our communities. The delivery of the Mental Health Literacy curriculum is being supported in our middle and secondary schools through training and implementation follow up. Resources

Every Day Anxiety Strategies for Educators (EASE)
EASE is a collection of school-based, evidence-informed, anxiety management and resilience-building classroom resources for use by educators with B.C. students in grades K-12. EASE helps educators teach students strategies to address the thoughts, feelings and behaviours associated with anxiety, while also supporting social and emotional learning and mental health literacy of educators.
